Dak, I count 479 through Oct. Boeing doesn't have nov up yet.
Adam, yes.
There aren't any blended winglets or HUDs either.
Have to make some revenue before more expenditures 😉

2.snacks for said passengers.

Good thing Jill doesn't write your ads!
I like the radio spot in DTW for the Chicago meeting that is about Chicago, with the chicago office but it is not held in chicago. Is the whole ad available online somewhere?

1) The rearview mirror for the captain to see as he is backing the plane away from the gate.
2) The new Bose (r) flight attendant surrond sound call button speaker.
3)The 737 next generation ground proximity viewing device. In case of computer failure, use this manual one.

Patrick,
700's w/o winglets can gfo 3365 nautrical miles and the cfm's have 26,300 lbs thrust per Boeing.com
the 200's could go 1855 nautical miles and the jt8d's were rated from 14,000 to 16,400 lbs of thrust per "Modern Commercial Aircraft"
I believe the blended winglets add 900 nautical miles to the 700's range and allow cruising at 41,000 feet.
As for the current fleet breakdown
all 200 have been retired for over a year.
There are:
194 300 series,
25 500 series,
and 256 700 series, all but one have winglets. The used one from ford will get them in Jan along with a HUD.
Sources
10- Q and airliners.net.
There is one more new 700 to be delivered in Oct, and 2 each in Nov and Dec.

Maybe Gary and Brian could go as blended winglets?!

Bill, I don't know what kind of planes GM has. But I'm sure if they had a -700 you could buy it. DCX only has scarebuses. So they aren't any help. I think they might have a bombardier also or a dassault mystre' (sp) trijet.
I wasn't aware that dtw went to three gates already, It's been a year (shhh, thats too long I know). I was going by your flight status page that lists gates and arrivals. Looks like Friday night we will be treated to 3 -700's instead of 2. 🙂 .
The -500 from stl sure does get around!

Glad to see more n/s from DTW.
I was wondering how you were going to fly to 5 n/s cities with only 4 aircraft on the 13 of sept. On the 14, I saw that you ferried one in from Dallas, so we finally got a n/s from Luv to Dtw, albeit without passengers!
Now the ground crew has to hurry up and unload at gate 9, back that plane up and unload the other one at night. Can anyone tell me where the RON without a gate parks?
Do you leave it at gate 11 or 13 that aren't used? Also, do you still plan on only 3 gates in the new terminal?
DTW would make a great reliever airport from MDW and you can drive the 800 lb gorrilla out of here. Hint, their initials are yours reversed. :-P
737 any day over a dc9.

There was only one n/s from Vegas to DTW. It was on a Saturday for about three monthes. Not sure where your info on the other cities being n/s to DTW comes from. Are you perhaps refering to several years ago?

How about ORD in Chicago? It is short for Orchard field.
DTW is for Detroit and Wayne county. Though it isn't really in Detroit.
PTK isnt in Pontiac either.

More than anything else, I think a shortage of aircraft is partially responsible for a lack of connections. They can't get enough Boeings and I have heard they are looking for some used 700's. 😜
