Thatβs great! Good to hear that you have seen several toddlers that βlookβ 2ish complying to the mask airline rule. Did you ask the parents, if the 2ish toddlers had a flight before that flight or maybe even a long layover, did you ask if they had sinus infections or asthma? Iβm sure you didnβt but your sarcastic response probably puffed you up & made you smile for the day.

Revenge? Never about revenge more about being pissed. To answer your question about why they were flying in the 1st place since I was going to get them is simple. They were flying from Mem to Jax & during the layover in Atl he would not wear the mask, I'm guessing because he's already been on one flight & was worn out & cranky by the time he got on the Atl to Jax flight. So when they got stranded in Atl I drove from Mem to pick him up, his mother flew out the next morning to Jax. I didn't want to chance it with the return flight of the same possible situation so I just took him home. My point is this, when it comes to toddlers not wearing the mask, maybe a more customer friendly approach could've been more becoming than thrown off a flight surrounded by security guards & lying saying they had another flight out of Atl to Jax in 2 hours, the only next flight out was the next day at 11am with a layover in Mdw. So yes, my 19 year old daughter in law & 2 year old grandson were stranded! She's too young for a hotel, too young for a rental car so my only option was to drive there 6 hours away! Maybe move them 6 feet away for the other passengers OR something more helpful than to have them stranded. BUT this won't ever happen again on SWA.

Yesterday I posted some not so happy post about SWA. I said some things that normally I would never say but to be honest I was pissed! However I believe they did handle a 2year old not wearing a mask wrong. Toddlers are unpredictable & flying is tough on adults more so on the children. After a flight then 2 hour layover for the 2nd flying trip most are tired & cranky. Kicking people off flights because toddlers won't wear a mask is not very customer friendly. Maybe you should brain storm a different approach in helping these little ones get to their destination. Per the CDC, they do not recommend babies & TODDLERS wearing a mask so maybe you should look into changing your policy. In my case, did the flight attendant ask if he was able to wear a mask? See, if she would've asked this question she would know that the baby had a sinus infection & not able to breathe normally with a mask as the Memphis flight attendant did! I get that you are following rules & regulations but see situations are different & if you would slow your roll for a minute to care for the customer you could find out the WHY & try to help, instead of just throwing them off a flight. I've seen this in many videos with flight attendants & this is why airlines are being sued all over. In my grandson's case, his pediatrician has written a letter to include with my letter to SWA. Hope this will help future toddlers traveling not to be treated as a grown up! Compassion goes a long way......
