Holy crap why do people believe everything they hear?!? Masks only limit the projection of people's sneezes & coughs; they do NOT prevent the wearer from getting airborne illnesses!! Educate yourself people! The irony, however, is that the "vented respirators" WILL prevent the wearer from contracting illnesses... Yet they're banned! The reason is because they do nothing for the non-wearer, and allow projecting sneezes & coughs through it's vents. But it is totally ironic if you think about it. So their policy is to protect their passengers & keep everyone safe... Or is it?!

Thank you Nicole for making safety first and compassion last. Also thank you for enforcing mask policies... And the health questionnaires to eliminate those that are ill from traveling. And thank you for allowing a passenger to board a plane with a bad cough, and sit right next to me, and for giving me covid. Good thing we were wearing masks??? Oh yea, sure masks help limit projecting bodily fluids during sneezes & coughs, but that's where the protection stops. You are NOT safe from getting airborne covid, or ANY disease, simply be wearing a mask. Babies are people. And hating babies and/or mother's is about the WORST thing one can do in a society. We will not forget how you handled this.

" I think a two year old is capable of wearing a mask." Ummmm...I think you don't have children. A 2 year old is irrational, impossible to reason with, unpredictable. I think, scratch that. I KNOW a 2 year old is NOT capable of RELIABLY wearing a mask. Roll the dice with your travel plans, says southwest. I could likely get my 2 year old to wear a mask, while we board. My big question is, 2 hrs into the flight when she doesnt want to wear it anymore, then what? Give you a parachute? Emergency land? Ban you for life? Really?!?!?!????

How about with decency? How about with common sense? If the childs face is in her lap then that's the same as wearing a mask. Hating everyone during a pandemic only makes it worse. There are rules, then there are rediculous enforcement of rules. If people are afraid then just stay home!!! Quit inconveniencing the rest of us! 2 is too young to force a mask on. SW has become anti-family airlines. Showing it's true colors. Their policy does NOT mirror the CDC.

Ignorance is a funny thing. And false sense of security is the first thing that comes to mind, when people say stupid things like "I appreciate their strict enforcement of masks so we're all safe when flying"... Masks don't do what you expect so if you're afraid of the virus you need to stay home. If you think that recirculating cabin air will eliminate xfer of the virus then I don't know where to begin. I just got back from a flight where I sat next to a guy that was coughing. Well we were both wearing masks so I was safe of course. Of course. Well I got covid from him.
