I'm definitely a fan of green initiatives, but I think some folks need to be more educated about how to properly recycle. I once had a Southwest Airlines flight attendant roommate once who didn't understand the basic principles of recycling. She didn't understand what could and could not be recycled, why she had to rinse out containers before putting them in the recycling bin, or why it is so important to recycle. I've seen many passengers exhibit extreme laziness when it comes to recycling. It always bothers me when I see people toss recyclable items in the garbage bin when it is right next to the recycling bin.
