That's is so true and I100% agree that weather impacts across the country can impact flights in other areas.
My point is the boards should show the weather impacting all providers somewhat the same. Southwest has it's major hub in Dallas so they should not be impacted more but less.
Southwest has an issue with things other than weather and they need to own it, apologize and address it.

We got canceled again by Southwest and they again claimed weather.
We are making a habit now of checking the airport departure and arrival boards that are available online for all the airports on our trip. I would suggest everyone do this and you will find that Southwest seems to be more impacted by "weather" than any other major carrier.
This really needs to be addressed by them.

I was still trying to get to a wedding not just get a refund but since SW has messed up again and canceled flights that they only seemed to be impacted be weather that was not an issue yesterday morning.
I know this because I checked the arrivals and departure boards at the airports we were going through and SW was the highest in impact. Seems they don't have the pilots to support their fights. Would be nice if they were honest about it.

I know that you are greatful for your job at SW. I just wish that your company could handle things better. If every company was using the weather as an excuse for cancelled flights like SW this far past the storm. no one would be traveling anywhere for the holidays. I am glad you made it to you family, wish I did. Must be good to have an inside track. Can you what percentage full a plane has to be to not get canceled?

So I have been on with the customer service number for almost all day, which started long before they put a notice not to call. 7 plus hours, which, if not a great wireless headset, would have even more painful. I should be several states away spending time with family getting ready for a wedding. Instead, I am trying to figure out refunds and credits for over 6k in a trip cost. Merry Christmas
