I know that the CARES safety harness is the only approved harness for toddlers; but does that mean that a non-approved safety harness can not be used? Since the harness isn't a requirement I wasn't sure if they would state that we couldn't use one if it wasn't the CARES brand. I want the harness to keep my toddler in one place, not for safety concerns, hence not being concerned about the "safety" ratings of the approved and non-approved harnesses.
