I have the same issue and I have no idea what the solution could be yet.
At Denver Airport the Southwest app just does not work with the Denver Wi-Fi
It works fine with the mobile data
I cleared cache cleared memory uninstall the app and reinstalled it and same issue
Issues seems to be only with the Southwest app
