Hi Miss Ashley,
I was reading your post on the very cold Chicago temperatures and after checking out some of your other posts I just had to comment on this OH..IO one. I very proud to say I hail from the awesome state of Ohio having spent my younger years in the town of Westerville Ohio. I live in Phoenix Az now and my husband and I both work for Southwest Airlines, in fact we each celebrate our 20th anniversaries with Southwest this month. I digress, back to Ohio. Like I mentioned I do live in Phoenix, but I will always think of Ohio as my true home. You know, Ohio and everything that it stands for such as the birth place of aviation, its very down to earth people, and of course its die hard Buckeye fans are really just a sample of the unique qualities and aspects of the state. I have always felt like Southwest Airlines and the State of Ohio are similiar in many ways, and no one could have been happier than me when Southwest initiated service to CLE & CMH way back in 1992. Alright, now I'm really dating myself! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you I'm so glad you've been able to experience two of my favorite things Ohio & Southwest Airlines, because from where I'm standing both, that is the state and the company, cannot be beat!
Love and Peace,
Lori P PC/CCR

Hi Christi,
I'm a dedicated Southwest Airlines employee who just started blogging. Recently my son told me, "Mom, you need to get with the program, don't you know video blogging is all the rage"! Out of the mouths of babes, right! Oh, did I mention he's eleven? I checked out our Nuts About Southwest blog and posted a comment on your reservations "day in the life series".
The Ultimate Blog-o-spondent assignment sounds amazing. Talk about jumping into the blogosphere head first! I've got twenty years of Southwest stories saved up, wish me luck on pulling them out of my head and coming up with a video blog "Southwest Airlines" style.
Hope to see you in Las Vegas at BlogWorld Expo!

P.S. I forgot to mention, I've colored outside the lines my whole life!

Hi Christi,
After checking out your video on a day in the life of a Southwest Airlines reservation sales agent I just had to post a few comments. First and foremost I agree with your father Steve and Brian Lusk, I think you've found your true calling. Entertainment Tonight needs a fresh face like you and that's a fact!
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Lori Piper and I've lived a day in the life of a Southwest Airlines reservation sales agent for close to twenty years. I'm proud to say I've willingly answered calls from our valued customers, either day or night, for half of my life here on planet earth! While times, policies, and procedures have certainly changed in our department over the last twenty years there is one thing that remains consistent and I believe you captured that in your video. The single most important quality a reservation agent must possess is a compassionate servants heart. All the agents that were highlighted in your video exemplified that to the utmost. No matter what the inquiry, problem, question, or concern our job as a reservation sales agent is quite simple: to help our passengers with all aspects of their travel plans. I've provided that type of friendly service since I started with our awesome company way back in the day in 1989 and will continue to do so until I end my run at Southwest Airlines. God willing, hopefully that will not be anytime soon!
Keep up the good work Christi and I look forward to more of your "Day in the Life" videos.

Jeff,
At my eleven year olds request, I've recently entered into the world of blogging and as a reservation sales agent for Southwest Airlines your entry stood out and compelled me to post a few words about Colleen and our wonderful company.
Like you, I feel blessed to have worked for Colleen and Southwest Airlines for close to twenty years. I've spent my career as a reservation sales agent in our Phoenix, Arizona location answering the calls of our valued customers day or night. Recently I had the pleasure of attending a Southwest Airlines luncheon at the Ritz Carlton and believe it or not Colleen was there. Everyone that knows Colleen is fully aware that Phoenix in July is not one of her favorite places so as you can imagine that made her presence at the luncheon even more special. She wrapped up the event with a few simple words of wisdom in a way that only Colleen could do. Later that evening when I had a chance to reflect on my day I couldn't help but think how genuine Colleen Barrett truly is. The compassionate nature she shares with employees and customers is no joke. Come on, what other company president do you know that has their home phone listed in the phone book?
Even though Colleen has stepped down as president it's nice to know she will still be around as a Southwest Airlines employee, spreading love and kindness as always. I'll end on that good note.
Warmly,
Lori Piper
