Do you have any idea how scary those little bags are to those of us with peanut allergies? Yeah I know that most people love them and I am not saying you shouldn't give them out but they do make me pretty uncomfortable.

Lake Tahoe. Take some lessons at Heavenly. The views alone are worth it. And the snow is nice and soft. Trust me you want to learn in the west on soft western snow. You could do Salt Lake City as it is nice there. But for me the views at Lake tahoe just mean that no matter what else goes wrong you'll have something nice to look at. And of course the night life is pretty good there as well.

I can't tell you how much better I feel getting on a plane where the pilot has some gray hair. I want my pilot to have "been there, done that, trained the new kid." I want someone who has seen more things go wrong and lived to tell about it than some young kid fresh out of flight school can imagine. I don't really care if it is a man or a woman - I just don't want some hotshot kid in the cockpit. Call me crazy but good regular medical check ups will make me more than happy to see pilots flying into their 60s - if not longer.

The sexy outfits was something that set the airline apart back then. Today with so many women and families flying it probably would upset more potential customers than they would please. ANd quite frankly service is more important to a lot of us who fly regularly so replacing experienced flight attendents just to get women who look good in hot pants wouldn't go ever that well.

I'm starting to think that seat should not recliine at all. As it is I will not recline mine unless the seat behind mine is empty. Those rapid recliners have gotten me more often than I can count.

As someone with a peanut allergy I am glad the bags can be hard to open. On planes where peanuts are given out could be have a no peanut section one day?

I haven't seen much in the way of delay because of the liquid restriction. It sure is a pain in the neck though. A lot of people are used to bringing their own things to drink on board.
In general though I am seeing that the security doesn't bother frequent travelers that much. Most of us are used to it by now. But for some people, those not used to travel and especially if English is not their first language, it can be a great source of stress. The other day in Seattle a young couple traveling with a baby (and you know how much carry on that means) got so flustered and confused going through security that they finally got through the metal detector and started getting ready to leave when someone asked them "is that your baby on the other side of the security gate?" Brief panic ensued before things got cleared up. The TSA people were great dealing with it but that shows the sort of stress things are causing passengers.

Your ops agent needs a Tablet PC. They can write in the numbers using a stylus and have the computer compute everything as they work. I'll bet you could even have someone create a little graphical application that shows where weight has to be moved from and to. Now wouldn't that be cool?
