Can you comment on why WN chose to go with Row 44's satellite service over Aircell's ground-based Go-Go service? What are the technical advantages that appealed to Southwest? It seems like the biggest advantage would be that it works over water ... which is an odd advantages for Southwest to be focused on ... or is it ...

Not only can you purchase the coupons at ticket counters if you want to pay cash, but I believe they're heavily discounted if you do this (i.e., they're $10 for 4 drinks, $2.50 per drink instead of $4.00), so it makes sense even for those with credit cards.

Southwest really needs to improve the speed with which credits post from flight activity, this new A-List thing makes it more imperative. I had 31 credits in the previous 12 months when you announced this. So I flew my 32nd paid segment on Sunday, and I have flights coming up on Friday and Saturday, so I should be A-List for those flights. Well, considering my credit for Sunday's flight didn't post until Wednesday morning but my A-List counter doesn't update at the same time, I'm not holding out much hope of getting A-List for Friday's flight, hopefully it will come through for Saturday's flight at least.
On a related note, I think you need to do something for A-List Companion Pass holders, my Companion will be flying with me on Saturday, who knows how far back she'll be in the line. We're just going to hold seats for our Companion anyway, why not make it easier on us.

My wife and I were in Vegas last weekend primarilly for the air show (we try and go a few times a year, and picked that specific weekend so we could go to the air show). The show is very US Air Force centric, I was really surprised they didn't have more participation from the other US military branches, but what they had there was great. As soon as you walk in there was a C-5 they had opened up and you could just walk through it. They also had an Air Force CV-22 that you could walk through, I was surprised how small it was in there! They had a Dutch F-16A and UAE F-16E on display next to each other, it was interesting to compare the differences between to the two aircraft, which are vastly different in appearance, though the same basic airframe.
The Thunderbirds were very good, but the F-22 flying demonstration put them to shame, the things that aircraft can do were simply incredible, how it doesn't fall out of the sky during some of its maneuvers is quite a feat of engineering. Unfortunately I don't think there is any chance the Thunderbirts would go to the F-22, not just because it's so expensive, but also because they don't have a two-seater.
I was a bit disappointed they didn't have a V-22 flying demonstration for some reason (it was on the schedule and we waited until the end for it).
One recommendation for anyone going in the future, eat before you go, the lines for food were unbelievably long! Luckily the there were no lines for the beer. 🐵

I posted this on Flyertalk before, but here it is again. I think the boarding order should be:
Blue sleeve preboards
A Group - Full fare tickets, CP holders and their companions, and anyone willing to pay $10 (maximum of 45 or 60 or however many full-fare tickets and CP holders/companions there are if that's higher)
Families with Children
B Group (and C Group if you still want to have it)
WN needs to reward its full fare travelers, increase revenue, and reward its most loyal customers, and this would accomplish that. This would give all those CP holders who have little use for the CP now a real benefit.
To reiterate my earlier point, I just don't think it's a good idea to increase the race to check-in online, if anything I'd say it wouldn't be as bad if you just got rid of online check-in and installed more kiosks at the airport for those checking in, give A1 to the first person at the airport (cut the check-in time down to 4 hours before the flight from the current 24 hours).

I for one think it's a terrible idea, the race to make sure you're near a computer with internet to check-in now 24 hours before your flight is bad enough, now it won't be enough to get an A Boarding pass, but the actual order of the passes counts too.

My understanding of the blended winglets is, and this is why not all new Boeing 737's have them, is that the fuel savings does not offset the additional weight of the winglets themselves and the additional cost (I seem to recall they cost something like $500,000 a set) on shorter flights, such as DAL-HOU flights for example. Of course, with the increased priced of fuel, they are viable for shorter flights than previously, but I don't know if they are a positive net benefit on all Southwest flights yet.
