OK.....to all the naysayers who have posted here. Yes, perhaps Southwest (in cooperation with the FAA) has made a misstep here. The fact remains nonetheless they stepped up to the plate, disclosed it, and are proceeding to attempt to rectify it in a timely manner. Do you think for one minte that every other airline would admit their shortcomings?....heck NO!!....So, for those of you that now "fear for your life" flying Southwest, go right ahead and book your next trip on another airline next time around. I won't bet the maintenance will necessarily be any better! As for Oberstar, I will refrain from any further comment as this is not a political site....
