That would be Mr. Bill Owen.

Ryan,
Will you ever be willing to admit that a lot of people aren't happy about the revised Rapid Rewards changes? We're seeing all kinds of fake enthusiasm from Southwest employees about this change. They're not unhappy about the new program for two reasons:
1) They're being told it's the best thing since sliced bread in training sessions.
2) They don't pay for plane tickets anyway, so why should they care?
It would go so much further with all of us if you would acknowledge the less than positive feedback you're receiving, instead of burying your head in the sand or trying to tell us "this is what you said you wanted".

This is fantastic news, in May, the best beach will only be an hour away!
It may even be possible to spend the night at home in BNA and just take subsequent day trips to PCB.. without needing a hotel!

@Anonymous — Tue, 10/06/2009 - 17:04 "Delta Air Lines was ranked highest among any U.S. airline for overall customer service and satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates. That says something."
JD Power doesn't agree with your statements about JD Power's rankings:

BIG fare sales and continued intense competition on routes to/from DEN!
Lets get to work on those near-International routes.. on SWA metal.

Hey Bill,
Could you post the winning schedule? I'm curious to see it to determine what I could have done better/different.
Thanks,
Brian

I for one like the idea... the folks in Strategic PR really hit a home run with this one. It will be a 60-day decal that will be talked about for at least 60 days. :-D
Good job Beth and Ginger.. and Christi for the great blog post!

Bill,
Will there be a PDF distributed this quarter that shows which stations will be gaining/losing certain routes?
Thanks,

I hope BNA is one of the cities chosen for LGA, we are within the 1500 mile radius and could really use some competition up against the other aairline flying the BNA-LGA route.

Well.. I plan on printing this and taking it to my management so I can have a childish complaint...
"If the technology department at Southwest Airlines can have a water balloon volleyball contest at work, then WHY CAN'T WE????"
And, of course, I'll keep applying at SWA. 🙂

I'm surprised they didn't use something like "Southwest Airlines currently has no plans to fly during the holiday season".. LoL..
We as Customers do appreciate the enormous amount of time and skill involved in preparing the schedule so it has the perfect blend of feasibility and profitability.
Thanks, Bill!

Shari et al,
For a technology-related position, what is the best way to get my resume' viewed by a human instead of it being thrown on the pile with the thousands of others?
Sometimes I think my only real chance would be to stand on Love Field Drive and wave while wearing a sandwich board promoting myself. 😄

How about some photos of what our baggage goes through between the ticket counter and the aircraft?
Or.. detail on what is involved in the process of upgrading the gate areas at all of the stations from start to finish?
Or.. a polling campaign to have passengers determine what will be in the next edition of the snack box served on long flights...
Or a little local interest... Why do the BNA baggage carousel screens frequently not match the baggage arriving on that belt? Does SWA control the screens, or does the airport have them set on a schedule?

I think there are two sides to every story, and I have chosen to wait until SWA has had their chance to fully present their side before forming an opinion.
As for what I've seen today, I sense possible political motives behind the report.. and find it very strange that it took a year before it was mentioned to the public.
