All the above suggestions are good. I always bring along a clear plastic freezer bag. I'll find a table someplace before entering the "TSA" line and empty alll the junk I usually carry around into the bag. Wallet, cell phone, car keys, pocket change, pens, etc. Once I get into the secure area, I'll reverse the procedure. I bring along a small package of peanut-butter cackers, and a paperback book to keep both my mind and my tummy occupied in the event of a delay or two. And if where you're going is on a toll road, it's not a bad idea to bring a handful of quarters. Once a Boy Scout, always a Scout!

SWA is awesome. And DING is MORE awesome. My parents live in Central Florida, and I can fly into either Orlando or Tampa and visit them. Which, thanks to DING, I do several times a year. I just flew back from TPA to STL on Sunday, and one of the flight attendants serenaded us as we were taking off. I wish I could remember the words but they included turning off our cell phones, folding our tray tables, and the usual stuff...bnut musically!
One of the coolest experiences I had was when I met a young lady in the departure area who was wearing a Valpariso University t-shirt, and I asked her what her major was, and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was "music theatre". So, for the 2 hour flight, we sat togther and entertained our neighbor passengers with tunes from different Broadway musicals. I hope they appreciated the talent!
Keep up the good work!

What's even funnier than passengers attempting to put their super-sized luggage into overhead racks are the same passengers attempting to carry their super-sized luggage down stairs IN THE RAIN at airports where there isn't a jetway. Like St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. It would be comical if it wasn't dangerous!
