I flew 90,000 miles in the 1st. 6 months of 2009. Most of this out of DFW &, therefore, on American. For trips to Denver I always flew Frontier - the service is better, the planes much, much more comfortable than the tired MD80s of American. Given the choice, I would fly the small Airbus' over their Boeing equivalent, even the 737. So, that part of the proposed deal is a loss, to me. The other intriguing issue is whether this will bring Southwest into DFW. I live nearer there than Love Field, but actually prefer the latter. However, the Wright Amendment means that travel out of Love is really out of the question except for intra-Texas & similar routes. So, still plenty to ponder.
