I like Southwest Airlines very much because they treat elderly passengers with so much courtesy and respect.
I admit that trying to pack a large bag to weigh only 50 lbs. is difficult but since two are allowed then that should be no trouble. Safety comes first with weight.
What about weighing very obese passengers. I worry more about their poundage and dread being squeezed into a seat to accomodate people who should really buy two seats for themselves.
I cannot believe the CARRYON luggage that is allowed. I have been bumped, thumped, and bruised by the carelessness of passengers trying to shove
heavy awkward bags/duffles/tourist objects over my head.
Why not limit CARRYONS as well!!!
This is still my favorite airline and I use it to visit my five grown children and my grandchildren who live in four different states!
