Ducks or no ducks, will SWA be serving boiled peanuts now that so many more flights are in the South of the US? Will pie be the new snack? Just hoping...

What a confusing mess! What looks good on a spreadsheet to a bunch of executives behind closed doors and windows (absent fresh air), really is a hot mess of nonsense. RR used to be straightforward and easy to understand. That was the beauty of WN. Now its just some sort of pyramid scheme disguised as a loyalty program. I highly doubt I will ever see another rapid rewards ticket or EVER be able to use it anymore. How can you possibly think this is "Rewarding?" I need a slide rule just to figure out how to get to Portland from ABQ after months of travel with WN? If I understand this, you are "awarding" points based on a number that is multiplied off a published fair? Who seriously in the real world, amidst fresh air and daylight can seriously understand this? A complicated, hot mess!! I am fed up and will remain loyal IN SPITE of your ridiculous loyalty program. And the VISA now seems useless in this whole scheme. That lame website that intro'd this whole thing is way confusing too. I agree with the above posted comments that the slider is stupid. Way to mess up, guys!!!

Wow! I think this is a great move. Air Tran has great routes and only OK staff. That fleet of 717s has got to GO! They suck! Rickety ass planes! Every flight on one of those makes me more religious-- as in, " Thank God we landed!" Though the wifi is awesome, they shutter, shake, drip, leak, stink, and smell... I am hoping WN can give US Airways a run for its money on Intl flights out of PHX too!
Best of luck to a wonderful company!

I flew to Charleston using SWA last summer... I had to switch to AirTrans in Houston with a change of planes in HOTlanta. Needless to say the return flight was delayed leaving HOTlanta due to thunderstorms. I BARELY made my connection at Hobby. The SW gate agent saw that I had checked in, was a faithful customer, and was on the lookout for me. I ran off the AirTran flight to the gate, and she walked me down, shutting the door behind me. I grabbed the first available seat (another perk of SWA) and the flight attendant saw how stressed I was and handed me a glass of water without a flinch. I know what Customer Service is, because of the great way I was treated and cared for.
Now I can travel within the network with even more ease. My cousins in SC thought I'd never return, but they were wrong. Cheers!

Congrats! Southwest is PART of the Land of Enchantment! Your planes grace our beautiful skies with great service, cooky policies, and safe and quiet aircraft. Thanks for all that you do to whisk me away and bring me back to the Sunport. Its always a pleasure!
Thanks

Cool move! I would love to go to Mexico and Costa Rica on SWA. I think their brand of service is needed. It might shake up that stodgy, stale attitude over at US Airways, who has good routes and connections to Mexico. I think to operate flights to Mexico, you almost need a hub-spoke model to gather enough passengers, so I don't see those flights leaving DEN, but predict some may eventually leave from PHX. I can't wait!

Well now I have fewer excuses to go up there in the winter to visit relatives... glad it is finally happening. Think of all the great international flights available from MSP too. I may very well go to Europe this summer WITHOUT passing through New York, Atlanta or Houston. NWA still can have a decent international flight (esp. when its KLM flying). Cheers!
