How many times does this happen a day on EVERY airline? Dozens I'm sure, but because the overweight person is somewhat famous we have publicity. The airline has a policy in place for everyone's safety including Mr. Smith. He knows he's overweight and that is why he buys two tickets, so why make a big fuss about it. ..because he wants publicity for his upcoming film.
