I think we have to remember that it's just not between Frontier and Southwest. There is an important missing person rarely being discussed here - the local customer here in Denver. Frontier has a strong connection here in the community and has many loyal customers, some of whom can not be bought by low price alone. To assume that all of Frontier's customers will automatically switch to flying SW, as everyone seems to take for granted, probably won't pan out - some will invariably align with United. The one attraction to United that I hear from friends and neighbors is their rewards program - enough miles and you can take the family to Hawaii. That is attractive for alot of folks.
