Tons of people live that live in the Vero Beach area would fly SW out of Melbourne to the northeast and the rest of the country. I know this because I drive these people to Orlando and Palm Beach every day of the week. The drive from Vero to Melbourne is 30 minutes and the drive to Orlando is 1 3/4 hrs.
