It is unfortunate that Frontier Airlines finds itself in this position. The employees of Frontier have made great personal sacrifice though paycuts and loss of benefits. They have struggled to make Frontier the viable airline that has had 8 successive quarters of profit. The Lynx commuter lines has proven successful. It is inevitable in the current economic times that airlines will purchase other airlines to either grow or to eliminate competition. Southwest is only interested in eliminating the competition in Denver. I don't believe that Southwest is concerned about the employees of Frontier, because they will be eliminated. Sure some will be offered jobs, after they interview for them. And some will be hired, but at the starting salary which for Frontier employees with seniority could be over 33% in wage cuts. These employees may have work, but will probably face economic problems such as foreclosures because they can no longer afford their mortgage. What a shame to simply discard the great employees of Frontier. I truly hope that some entity will purchase Frontier Airlines, who is interested in keeping the airline's identity and employees.
