Your comments are good for corporate speak and trying to repair a PR nightmare. I've always liked your company and now I'm not sure about using your airlines again if I have a choice. I know everything has shades of gray, but what a bad move?
Just fire the people responsible and change the policy or at least be more clear about just how fat someone can be to fly in just one seat.
