Seeing F9 merged into WN will be a very very sad day.
I have nothing against WN, but I really loved F9 - as a previous employee and as a customer.
I'm not sure how WN acquiring F9 would "boost low-fare compettion across the country". That is pretty far fetched...
This is the game WN always plays. Move into a market, drop prices as low as possible to drive out the competition, and then raise prices. It is a documented trend, and in all fairness to WN - it's a smart business strategy.
I just hope that it all works out for the awesome F9 employees out there....
