Wow guys why would you even talk like that. F9 employees show some class. Better keep your fingers crossed. I found out last night that I may not be the first victim of this Republic buy out but I am definatley the next and if what I heard is correct I wont be the last.

Tina,
Comments like yours are one of the reasons the bashing continues on these blogs. I would be embarassed if I were a WN employee.

"Frontier was in bankruptcy...for the SECOND TIME"
The fact is that this is F9's first time in bankruptcy. This is not the old Frontier that went out of business years ago, and Republic did not mess up Midwest they messed themselves up. Please get your facts straight.
Joey your passion is appreciated on our end but I do have to say that WN is a good company with good employees. We are just as good regardless of what is posted here. This is just business no matter how much blood sweat and tears we have poured into it. We can all only sit back and wait and see what happens and hope for the best.

"We don't want some of those "passionate" employees over here at Southwest who have been constantly bashing us in the blogs over the past two weeks."
They were upset and you guys did some pretty good bashing yourselves. Maybe you need to put yourself in their shoes and try and understand what I knee jerk reaction is. They are great people with families to feed just like you. Thin skin is not good in this industry.

Ok so thats what everyone expected but did you notice there was no REAL mention of F9 employees in his statement? Other than passionate employees. Well thats great, hopefully he will not be sending that passion to the unemployment lines.

All this bashing is pointless and just causes hard feelings on both sides. The fact is that we have no control over what either side is going to do. It's out of our hands and this bickering back and forth is just raising everyones blood pressure. The debate over who is the better airline is stupid. We will always feel Frontier is the better airline and the WN employees will feel they are.
I travel both extensivley and can tell you that I have very few negatives about either airline. I have encountered bad attitudes on both sides. When an orginization has as many employees as we both do theres bound to be a bad agent or 2. For the most part I have enjoyed crews on both sides and have been treated with respect by almost every WN employee I have encountered even though I am traveling non-rev on a business agreement. Some even have gone out of their way to find me alternate routes so I can get to my destination to do my job.
As an airline employee I am always concerned when another airline goes bankrupt or has cut backs and we hear about the employees that lose their jobs. Thats where all of our concerns should be. I have good friends that have already lost their jobs due to cutbacks and friends that already know the fate of their stations. Not just in F9 but other airlines who are cutting back. My concern is them and their families and mine for that matter if WN is successful.
This industry is shaky and nobody is safe. One wrong move by any airline could mean jobs lost even for WN employees. Its sad that some of you seem to be happy at the possibility that most of our employees will be out of jobs. Regardless of what you believe we at F9 are as much of a family and have as great of a culture as you do. I truly believe we are the only 2 airlines in the industry that can say that. Lets stop bashing each other and be a little more respect and undertsanding. I understand this is an emotional issue but bashing is sensless.

Bottom line WN aquires F9 most of the 4000 employees are out of work. Bad for DEN, bad for employees, and bad for the economy.
