How about who sets up your numbered que lanes, you know the 1-5,. 5-10, etc.
I was in LAX and saw a set that was backwards, meaning a the very front was a sign saying 5-10 to the right (towards the gate) and 1-5 to the left. I'm not sure I'm describing it right, but it seemed that we had left hand set at a right hand gate or something like that.
Or how about Fuel Efficiency? Are you going to keep the -300's and -500's and outfit them winglets or are they going to be replace with more -700's or something bigger like -800 or -900's? Given the sky-rocketing price of gas, have you guys been thinking about using turboprops on some of your routes, though you would end up having 2 kinds of planes.
How about In Flight Entertainment? Since Frontier, Jet Blue, and Virgin America all have IFE, you are alone with SkyBus as the only two LCC's without IFE. Of course you don't need it when your flight attendants keep us entertained, but they seem to be running short on humor these days.
Can't wait to get on one of your planes this Friday!

I am an SJC customer. I hope with your push in SFO you aren't planning on cutting service. My most routine flights are from the SF Bay area to the LA area. SJC-SNA is a Godsend. You have practically taken over the A terminal at SJC anyway.
Any chance of adding service from SJC-LGB to combat Jet Blue? I like flying in and out of the smaller airports, or at least the less crowded ones.

You have always been good about managing delays. I will never forget the time I left my originating city over 45 minutes late, somehow made my connection (which was only 30 minutes), and landed at my destination only 5 minutes late. The best part was, my checked baggage was not only there it was the first ones off the plane.
I will never forget how you came through for me that day.

Brian,
I don't disagree with you. If you give an inch, they will take a mile. That is why I suggested a per pound charge. If my bag weighs 52 lbs on the airport scale (then I should probably invest in a new scale at home), but charge me $5 and get me on the plane. $25 for 2 lbs? Would that make you happy?
To whoever said they would just fly United....check the news, they are now charging for a 2nd bag. That's right a 2nd bag, not a 3rd bag, but a 2nd bag.

I would also like to add one caveat. I find in my travels on every airline, that the FAA regulations for carry on bags are slightly enforced. Traveling between Northern and Southern California, overhead bin space is always tight, and there is always someone trying to put a bag in there that takes up more space than your policy allows. I'm not sure if there is a good way to solve that problem and it is one that EVERY airline has. I guess people don't trust baggage handlers. Personally, I trust yours more than anyone else.

1.) I think that change in your baggage policy is very smart and fare
2.) You should reconsider your bag weight limit, Virgin America allows one bag of 75lbs. Yes, I can do math 2 x 50 =100. I have witnessed other passengers and also personally been forced to waste your employee's time and other passenger's time shuffling things between bags at check in to avoid a $25 fee for a bag that weighs 52 lbs when my other bag weighs 48 lbs.
What I would propose is a per pound fee, at your current rate that would be $1.25/lb. So instead of people sitting there shuffling between two bags or taking things out to carry on, they could just pay $2.50 and be on their way.
You could also institute a "flex" policy where if someone does have two bags you allow a weight tolerance in the bags (less than 5lbs to protect your rampers) as long as the total is less than or equal to 100 lbs. So if a guy shows up with a bag that is 45 lbs and a bag that is 55 lbs it is "thank you enjoy your flight," not "I have to charge you a fee..." Let's be honest every time you go to charge an extra fee it adds a lot of time to the check in process and time is also money.
I have never checked three bags, but I have started packing a small duffel in my suitcase just in case my bag weighs 52 lbs on the airport scale when it weighed 48 on mine.
