Just wanted to add my support of this new policy!
Though I have cats and am thrilled that I can now take them with me on Southwest, I have asthma and allergies to animals, so I understand the challenges. How about designating some planes 'no animals'? Kind of like non-smoking rooms at hotels. That would make it a win-win for all passengers.
And/or put HEPA air purifiers on all flights with animals present, that would help too.
