HOPING HOU CAN GET SOME POWER,OUR POOR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO DIG UP A POWER SOURCE IN SOME DUSTY MOUSE INFESTED AREA. YOU WOULD THINK THE NEW TERMINAL WOULD INCLUDE BASIC INTERNET, CELL PHONE NEEDS OR EVEN A BUSINESS CENTER. THEIR IDEA OF HI-TECH IS REQUIRING A PIN NO. TO CHANGE FROM DEPARTURES TO ARRIVALS ON THE SCREEN. SOMETIMES NEW IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER. WE LOVE THE LOOK JSUT STRUGGLE WITH SOME OF THE CITIES DECISIONS. WOULD LOVE SOME SIGNAGE TOO.

This is in response to Mr. Parham and his request for pre-board arrangements. Many Customers have hidden disabilities and when they walk up to the counter to enquire about preboarding, if they would share what their specific needs are it would eiliminate the the guess work for all. I cannot think of any employee who is trying to harrass or embarrass their Customers. There are some instances where Customers enquire about early boarding who have no needs but are eager to get on first to get their preferred seat. We all want what is fair and there are times when there are more Customers preboarding than A B C boarding. We always try to serve everybody in the best possible way. I wish there was a prefect way.

Ive had several senior citizens make the point they won't even live long enough to see the ammendment repealed. Now that is a DAMN shame the greatest generation not ablt to fly in and out of Dallas without restrictions. They feel as if the whole thing is a big political outrage.

love the saunter -- life is like a box of chocolates and so is SWA you never know what story you'll hear, friend you'll make or lesson you will learn.
I tend to like the surprises I find on Southwest.

I would like to suggest that the TSA gate screened Customers are selected by the Customers who are on board with them, this would eliminate any and all speculation about why, who and when some are chosen and others are not. This idea would simulate reality TV and add some excitement to the gate area. Just imagine being voted into secondary screening. Here are some rhymes for these troubling times. You must by dry to fly, no drip on the trip and no wet on the jet. See ya.

I worked on the last day of pre- Katrina life in New Orleans and that day was my proudest ever, SWA sent other city relief in to allow airport employees to plan and set up their own evacuation. I was one of many employees who flew in from other cities and as far as I could tell we were the only airline that had done so. We carried 100's of Customers who were abandoned by their 1st choice carriers and made fans for life. It was a stressful day only because you were afraid that there would be some folks left behind but when Southwest flew the last flight out that night every Customer in the airport that so desired had a seat, some waited for their carrier of choice but we made the offer. The was SW conducted business that day should be a model for any company that serves people. We are a CARELINE not just an airline.

If only every Southwest were a little more Herblike. The energy he brings to a room, not to mention the 2nd hand smoke is infectious. Being around him can raise the energy level of any caring employee for days. My favorite Herb story is one I share often, a co-workers mother was being treated at MD Anderson in Houston, Herb there for his own treatment. Upon recongnizing Gracie and her sister Betty both Hou CSAs who were not in uniform he enquired about why they were there and offered to go up and see their mother. He introduced himself as DR Herb Kelleher and went on and on making over her daughters and congratulating her on what a great job she had done raising such wonderful women. Now that is the defining story of a person who really cares about people and their families. Please share your favorite Herb story and spread the LUV.

WE SHOULD CELEBRATE EVERY LITTLE THING.JUST TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE SMALLEST OF THINGS CAN MAKE SOMEBODIES DAY AND BRIGHTEN THE DAY OF OTHERS WHO WITNESSED THESE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND WHEN YOU SHOW YOUR ID 40 TIMES BEOFRE GETTING ON AN AIRPLANE HOPEFULLY SOMEBODY WOULD NOTICE ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY .

I FIND IT MIND-BLOGGING THAT SO MANY CUSTOMERS WILL STAND IN LINE WHEN THEY HAVE AN A OR B CARD AND KNOW THE FLIGHT IS HALF FULL. PERHAPS THAT IS WHY WE CALL IT AIRLINE WE ALL STAND IN LINE TO GET IN THE AIR. HUMAN NATURE IS WHAT HUMAN NATURE IS WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY WHERE WE ALL WANT TO BE FIRST. THERE SHOULD BE SOME SHAME IN THE ME FIRST MENTALITY BUT MOST TIMES AT AN AIRPORT THERE IS NOT. DURING KATRINA AND RITA LAST YEAR WE ALL SAW A TON OF ME FIRST GOING ON IT WAS SHAMEFUL. SWA HAS ELIMINATED MOST LINE TIME THRU TECHNOLOGY BUT STILL FOLKS WILL STAND IN LINE. ASSIGNED SEATS WONT CHANGE THE LINE TIME THEY WILL WANT TO BE SURE EVERYBODY GETS ONLY THE SEAT THEY WERE ASSIGNED. OPEN SEATING IS WAY TO FLY.
