I have a few suggestions to make Southwest (SW) run a little smoother plus generate more revenue.
I recently travel from Glasgow to London. Booked a flight on Easyjet. Easyjet is very similiar to the low cost, unreserved seating SW has...BUT, you have an option of paying $15 o/w more for advanced seating. That meant they let the assisted passengers go on first, then the advanced seating passengers go, then the A and B and C passengers. Also, they were very strict about only letting kids in the assistance line that were under 10 years old NO older and having only two adults with them...., no aunts and uncles or grandparents. If you were a kid older than 10 years old, one parent had to go in the A,B or C line with them.
The preboarding rules are really getting out of hand with SW. Even older people, that appear to be in great health, but are over 55 are taking advantage of that rule.
Come on, SW ...have some backbone and start practice what your policy states. Also if you what to generate revenue for your stockholders. Create advanced seating costs.
Thanks.
