Thanks Leah!
Yes I must say I was VERY crushed and yes I did shed many tears. I am over it now & I know it was my own mistake. If I had remembered it I woud have definitley disclosed it! I hope that all the people out there that are looking to join the SWA family will read about my mistakes and will not make the same ones that I did. Much LUV to you all!

Hey Everybody!
Lisa, Congratulations on your job opportunity! I received a letter in the mail & after all the excitement I was turned down! It was my fault though I still have A LOT of LUV for SWA! There was something that came up in my background check that was many many years ago that came up to bite in the behind 😞 I would've disclosed it however it was so long ago I blocked it out of my mind and honestly forgot about it. I know, I know it sounds like a lame excuse but if I would have disclosed it there wouldn't have been any problems because it was minor. But because I didn't it was automatic rejection :(!
I have been hired by another airline because I did disclose it with them, but I will not give up on being a part of the SWA family as I can reapply next year for CSA which is what I want. So I will take this new opportunity and get some airline experience under my belt and I will be back! I wish you all the best of luck in all your endeavors!

Hey Lisa! Nice to hear that we're both moving along in the process! I was contacted by e-mail for the drug screening. It gave me 48 hrs from the time I opened the e-mail to take it here locally. Then I had to e-mail a number from the receipt I was given to the lady who had sent me the e-mail. I contacted her to make sure that she had received my e-mail and she then told me that the drug test was just another step in the process and it could be another 4-6 wks. So I am patient as I know that it takes time for the results to come in. I saw another person who had interviewed the same time as I did in the medical center she was also there for her screeening. So I am hoping that I am not too far behind in the process. You are still in my prayers as well as everyone else that is patiently waiting to join the SWA family! Best Of Luck To You All!!

Hey Everybody! Thanks for the prayers Lisa & I am so glad that your interview went well! You are alos in my prayers 🙂 I hope everything works out for you! I think that every location has their own hiring process so I wouldn't worry too much. I have been working with the company doing the employment, background & residential verification for the last couple of days. Making sure that they have everything that they need. I had to fax over my transcripts and fill in a gap in my residential whereabouts. I was told today that they have everything on their end and to check with my recruiter to see if they need anything else from me. Only problem is I don't have her contact info!!! Does anybody know how I can find her???? I interviewed in Las Vegas so I am hoping to contact her a.s.a.p. I really want this opportunity as well and I am very excited to hear that things are moving right along! Best of luck to you all!

Hey Lisa! Congrats on your opportunity with SWA! Hope all goes well for you! I found out today in my interview an answer to one of the questions you asked on March 12th. You have to work in the position you're hired for, for 6 months before being eligible for a different position and you will have to go through the interview process as well. Hope this helps and best of luck to you!

I had my interview for CSA in Las Vegas today! I was so nervous I slept maybe 4 hours and arrived 45 mins early! But that worked out to my advantage because it took a while to find a parking spot & the conference room. After meeting the recruiters all my nervousness went away, they made me feel so comfortable and welcome, like I was already part of the Southwest family. While sitting in the room with 24 other candidates we were shown all the Southwest commercials starting back in the 70's to current. I really enjoyed that, it just reminded me of how styles and things have changed through the years. I LUV those "It must be football season" commercials, we all had some good laughs. We were then told about all the benefits, the job description and that we should expect to work holidays & weekends because we would be the newbies. Scheduling is given out in seniority so you have to be willing to work towards getting the schedule you would like to have. We also met a few Southwest family members and they told us about how long they have been with the company and a few things about the position. Then one by one we were called into a different room to have our interviews. I felt very comfortable during the interview process and talked with Beth like she was an old friend, it was great! I was then asked to go to a different office for fingerprinting and a brief survey. I was told that it could take up to 30 days for all the employment & background checks to come back, so I am patient 🙂 Was also told that I if I accepted another job while waiting that Southwest would gladly allow me to give a 2 wk notice which I thought was really nice. I am very excited & look forward to hearing from someone within 30 days! Thanks again to Leah & everybody else for helping me prepare for this AWESOME opportunity!
