As part of the Southwest Green Team, I have had the opportunity to be a part of creating our brand new Green Ambassador Program. What has been exciting to me is to see how many of our Employees across our System are passionate about the environment. They are so anxious to do their part in ensuring our Companywide Green efforts are as successful as they can be. I know their enthusiasm will make a difference not just at Southwest Airlines, but also in their respective communities across the country.

A huge congratulations to each and every one of you! And, thanks for representing Southwest so well and with so much flair and determination!! I am sure that experiencing such a daunting task with a group of friends/Coworkers created a special bond that you will have for years to come. In my opinion, everyone should sit on the bleachers at the finish line of a marathon once in their life to witness truly one of the finest examples of the triumph of the human spirit!

This is a perfect example of how, after 14 years working at Southwest Airlines, I have become so accustomed to the small gestures of kindness that my Coworkers demonstrate every day, that I forget it's not like this in the "outside world." You simply get used to it around here.
