SWA is an antiquated company and this illustrates it clearly. We live in an age of tolerance, respect, and understanding and this image does nothing for women and their struggles.
It amazes me that in 2009 an executive team would think this is a "good idea." Shame on Gary and his team, this is bad marketing and represents poor thinking.
Next month I am booked on SWA to fly to Orlando for my childrens spring break. What should be my response to my daughter who is 8 when she asks me what the image means?
