Dont fall all over each other trying to kiss the companys feet. I used to think they were the best, but not anymore. The way they held up bookings for the summer for so long and then came out with prices higher than any other carrier was pathetic. It looks like it is killing their bottom line right now too. Their not selling enough seats and the stock is down again. I guess most of their good customers like I was bought seats on the competition. I bought 7 tickets to Orlando and 4 to Las Vegas. None of these are on SW because I got them a lot cheaper elsewhere. They are going to have to show me they are not just another airline for a while before they get me back. I dont think I have ever been so disappointed in any company before. That top 10 rating would be in serious jeopardy if the pole were retaken right now.

Hey Francisco, The point of a DISCOUNT AIRLINE is lower fares than the competition. Its the OTHER guys that are supposed to be trying to make you happy with HIGHER FARES.

Well Bill, after all that waiting, you did not come through. Just booked my 7 rt tickets to Orlando on AA from Tulsa 05/26. Your prices are not only higher than AAs, they are higher than NW, Delta and Continental. Of course there were no internet special fairs available at 10:01 today for my flights, but even if they had been, they would still be a few dollars more than AA. My tickets were $299 each. Your "special was $159 each way. Just another airline now huh Bill? Nothing special in the air.

Brian, I have been extremely patient with you guys. To you and the guy that said we dont need to plan six months or 5 months in advance. Guess what? I just checked americans schedule for the flights I need for the end of may. They have now got 21 seats available on 1 flight and 17 seats available on another flight. I need 7 seats. See what can happen if you wait too long. I am sitting here banking that SW will have a better price and availability with no guarantee. If SW schedule had been open a month ago, I would have had about 50 seats on each of those AA flights as well as SW to choose from. Dont tell me that you can always book later if you need to. Sometimes you cant.

I just saw some sale fares at AA.com, unfortunately they were not for my destination. The strange thing about those fares though-you had to complete travel by-----May 10!! What does AA know that we dont?

Bill, I think you are missing the point entirely here. You said that everyone will be happy when the new schedule comes out because you will be opening up May, June, July and August and possibly September and the fares will be great. Well guess what? I only care about May! That is when I am flying. So the fact that you will open up for the next 4 or 5 months means absolute 0 to me. You should re-do your schedule on an even pace so there are no lags like this one. Maybe when you get August posted you can slip September in a month later, then October a month later and November a month later. Do you get the picture? Make up your schedule 4 or 5 months in advance and then post a new month each month. WOW, what a concept. Keep it moving and you will never hear from us again.

I still fail to see why you have to post your ENTIRE summer schedule at the same time. Its not written in stone anyway.
Post just May through June. Surely you have that figured out by now. Then post june thru july etc. That gives you plenty of opportunity to make any changes you want for any reason.
Even if you are adding citys this will work. It will also give you more flexability as changes in the market occur.

James, I dont care about the schedule and ticket prices for July, August etc, just May! They have had that cutoff date up for way over 2 months now. This is the longest I have ever seen them keep the cutoff unchanged. When you are trying to take 7 people to the same place at the same time and have them stay at the same facility and get connecting rooms co-ordinate local travel etc, you need some leadtime. Besides, its on a computer. If they decide to make a change after they post it, they can, simply by hitting a few keys. All businesses make changes on their sites all the time. Even SW does because I have seen their rates change even when the cutoff does not. So lets just get this done. They must have some reason we have not been told for this delay.

Sorry Annette, I cant wait until Feb 8 maybe, to make my reservations. I have already seen 2 airlines raise the price of the flights I need by over $100 above what I can get now on AA. I will be needing 7 tickets so I will buy from AA on Tuesday if your new schedule is not up by then.

I like the look of the new web site, but since you still wont allow bookings past May 10, I havent been able to use it. I have been needing to make some reservations for the last week of May for 2 months now. You have had a May 10 cutoff date up for over 2 months. Are you going to stop flying after may 10? Why havent you changed this cutoff date. Im sure there are a lot of people that want to finalise their summer vacation plans as I do. You are keeping us from doing that.
