Hey Anonymous,
You must not have experience working at any airline besides Southwest. If you did, you would know that having a free ANYTHING would result in termination. I'm not sure if you saw that our company lost money over a few quarters last year. We need to be counting all the beans we can, and if it means keeping you honest, bring it on.

Dear Cathy.
The policy which has been linked to many times is clear. If you occupy anything more than a single seat, you buy a second seat, and get refunded if the flight doesn't oversell. You probably need a second seat if you aren't sure. Save yourself the potential issue and buy the second seat. If you clearly fit in a single seat with no spillage, cancel the second seat and save the funds for a future ticket. The airline that doesn't charge you for bags also doesn't charge you a change fee. Keep in mind that it's not the airline's fault if you don't fit in a seat. It is your fault if you fail to address it. Thanks for staying on topic.

Hey Anonymous,
Your post drips with irony. I mean the fact that you read and commented on this unrelated post says something. I figured you'd be more interested in KS' temporary attention timed exactly when he has a movie coming out. You probably are too narrow minded to understand things like "The Big Picture" and "Irony" and that's cool. But please, keep your trolling to your "1600" post thread. K? Thx. Bai.

Glad to see BOS is getting even more LUV! This will be a great addition to the network. I just wish the other cities from 2009 would see some growth like BOS has.
Oh and those trolls for larger Customers including Kevin Smith still lingering around here, save your favorite SWA agents the work and buy two seats if you think you need it. What happened to taking responsibility for your own actions? By being proactive, you'll save yourself the potential embarrassment of someone confirming that you actually do need a second seat. As a bonus the flight doesn't fill up, you'll get the refund. That's pretty nice for a business to give back for a product you used.

So, if KS has purchased two seats before, he is aware of, and confirms that he falls in the customer of size policy. If KS purchases two seats because he does not want anyone sitting next to him, he shouldn't be using an airline with open seating because there is no way to guarantee that the seat next to him remains open.
Anyone who has been on a flight with a customer of size sees that they preboard and have a big "Seat Reserved" sign for the spot next to them. The seat next to them remains open since they obviously occupy that space and all remaining customers can enjoy the seats that they purchased.
Southwest already said that they refund the additional seat for a customer of size when a flight does not oversell. If everyone purchases a second seat because they wanted to be alone, Southwest would end up refunding more than half the tickets on the plane.
The fact that KS has purchased a second seat before and now denies he needs that spot shows a failure on his part to be truthful in the situation. However, if indeed he purchases a second seat, the agents never should have cleared him onto a flight with one seat available.
Oh and kudos to Southwest for standing up for your employees. This is another proven story on your blog that the customer is not always right.

Do a google image search for him in 2010 and you'll see he's not the worlds smallest guy. I wouldn't want to share a row with him. I paid for my seat and nobody else should occupy it.
Silent Bob apparently knows he is a customer of size and should be ashamed for trying to fool the public into believing otherwise.

I'm sure there is a good reason to change to lightly salted. I wish the Honey Roasted would have stayed. I can't imagine I'm in the minority...but maybe I am.
