Airline service for paying customers is on a steady decline and this is just another example of profits over public relations. To humiliate a passenger like this is unconscionable. I'm glad it was someone as outspoken as Kevin Smith - another person might have simply accepted this abuse and suffered in silence. Shame on Southwest. You all did a deplorable job, representative of your industry as a whole.
