I would also like to know what happened at Philly. You entered PHL with lots of hoopla and now its like you don't want to be bothered with PHL. What is really ironic is all the money that was just spent on constructing a new Southwest concourse! (terminal E) Granted the routes that were cut were mostly short routes, but I don't see you cutting short hop routes in Florida or the southwest states. I'm sure management at PHL is real pleased with this move.

I fly Southwest frequently and personally I wish Southwest would of went the route of installing Direct TV and charging for it like Continental is doing. My laptop batteries don't last long on a full charge and I don't think Southwest has in seat power outlets. So my in flight internet surfing would be limited anyway. That being said I hope Southwest has an in route map on your internet in flight homepage. It might sound stupid but I find that feature entertaining on other airlines. The ability to see where the plane is at any given time is pretty great!

It seems to me this was a media smear campaign against Southwest more than anything else, led by CNN. For some reason the media wanted to blow this out of proportion. Why has CNN harped on this story more than anyone else?? Southwest made an error, and openly admitted they made an error.
Remember, Southwest was the airline that developed the program to inspect cracks on 737's in the first place. If anyone knows 737's and how to maintain them its Southwest.

Do you think Southwest will ever fly to the Lehigh Valley International Airport (Allentown,Pa)?? It would work well as a small station for you like say West Palm Beach, FL does. We certainly have the airport, population base, and demand for better air service .I know you set up shop in Philly but come on Southwest, bring some flights to Allentown, Pa!! This is an isolated and BIZARRE incident. I think it reflects on the flight attendant making a stupid move. However it does not reflect on Southwest the airline in general. I think 99.9% of the flight attendants would not have done this. Southwest in my opinion is still the leader of America's airlines and I will continue flying them for all the great things they offer.
