Bill,
Nice to see the additions for this fall.
Quick question: You mentioned the addition of service in six markets...what are those?

Hats off to this flight crew & all flight crews who work to ensure our safety in the air!

I can't wait to read it! I get a copy in the mail every month...I am a loyal Southwest flier and supporter. I'm saving the Jan issue for my flight across the country in Feb & for the trip home I'll read the Feb issue, this way I will have something to do on both flights!

Bill,
I'm assuming that all 7 departures going to MDW is a big possibility. However, I must ask, (due to LGA restrictions) would you even consider a Saturday-only nonstop to LAS?
Thanks...and this is quite a surprise!

Along the lines of breezing through the security checkpoint...
Although this service is not offered yet here in Las Vegas, McCarran
International has just opened up a new C-Gates security checkpoint
annex, featuring a whopping 12 security lanes!
Southwest is not only our top airline, but the primary operator out
of the C-Gates. If any of you have traveled through here before, you
know that our checkpoint lines can get pretty crazy during peak times!
Now that the amount of lanes has more than doubled, getting through
security here is much faster and easier.
The annex is located adjacent to the Southwest ticket counter.

Of course it is...what a great way for fliers, fans, and WN family
members to all communicate in one unified way!
Congratulations :)

Always great to see a new city added to the LUV network...and I can definitely
tell that this particular destination has awaited WN service for years.
Best of luck on the new service at MSP, and hope to see LAS nonstop at some
point in the future!

Great memories Brian...thanks 4 sharing them!
I have never traveled to DTW but your descriptions sure made it
clear just how the terminal was when it first opened.
My home airport, McCarran International in Las Vegas, has many
parts of it that are old (1950s/60s style), particularly in the old A/B
concourses. Hope you've had the opportunity to check them out--
Southwest and US Airways are the only 2 carriers operating out
of there now.

Very interesting Gordon, thanks!
What are the differences between the types of checks?
(I'm referring to the ones like C, D checks and so on...)

Hey Bill!
Again, thanks for the change in LAS-SDF nonstop departure time.
The 10:30AM departure is IDEAL!!
Hope this will stick around into Spring/Summer '09, typically when we travel to SDF more frequently.

That is excellent! I have my own copy that I specifically went to the airport to get...I enjoy collecting them since SWA is basically the only U.S. Airline who still prints them. Congrats Valerie!

Thanks SO MUCH for moving the nonstop from LAS to SDF to an earlier afternoon departure! I hope that this time slot will perform well...it's much more convenient to get to SDF at 8:30pm than 12:30am! Thanks again, Bill!

Bill,
I have a question that's a bit off this topic but something I've been wondering recently that relates to scheduling...does Southwest use all 8 gates in the new ISP terminal? As far as I know there's only around 30 flights a day out of ISP...any plans to get more use out of the gates WN built there with more flights? Thanks!
