Brian, Seems you made a little mistake in your title. Shouldn't it be "Ding! boy wins an award"? Then that brings up another question, What did I win? Some dirty airplanes to clean all night long? Ding! You are now free to move about the country! Ding! boy Joe

Brian, Great news! Does this mean that when you go to accept the award for the DING! slogan, you'll take the DING! mascot along to the presentation? Of course, I'm referring to our very own DING! Boy, Joe!! Congratulations, Kim Who doesn't ding, but nevertheless blogs 🙂

Brian, No, not yet. It will be soon I am told. You were right about the anticipation though! In the Readers Digest for oct, pg 91, "Lewis Black discovered that candy corn is the only treat in America never to have been advertised. 'And there's a reason,' he says. 'All the candy corn that was ever made was made in 1911.'" I wonder if the half life for twinkies is the same as candy corn? Wondering what a ding! boy costume would look like?.... Joe

Leah, watch out, you never know when I might be in Tulsa. Joe, I think a Ding! Boy costume might be a big exclamation mark. By the way, I heard that Hershey's is coming out with a candy corn kiss. Blog Boy

Ha, Brian! 🙂 You know, I think I have seen (or maybe just heard about) candy corn kisses. Of course, with Halloween next month, the candy corn is already on the shelves!

*Walks onto stage & steps up to the mic. Holds Ding! trophy & says, "I'd LUV to thank Advertising Week for this prestigious award. We at Southwest are very honored."* :) Brian, I had some (it was a very small package) candy corn at work today! 🙂 I thought of you when I ate it. *Rubs tummy. Yummmm, that was good!* "Whatchu talkin' about, Willis?" Ha, that was random!
