Mile High Cheers For Five Great Years in Denver!

Not applicable

Yesterday, Southwest Airlines celebrated the fifth anniversary of our return to Denver, and I couldn’t be more proud!  Our service began back in 2006, and it’s amazing how far our operation has come in just five short years.  We started with 13 flights per day and about 45 Employees; we now have 144 flights per day and are approaching 600 Employees.  Denver is now the fifth largest city in our network, and I must commend our hardworking folks for keeping their Warrior Spirits alive, and providing our Customers with the level of Customer Service they have come to expect from Southwest Airlines.

Today, Southwest Employees from across the system came to Denver to treat our Employees and Customers to an anniversary celebration in the airport, complete with complimentary treats, FUN games, and prizes!

This truly is a day for the Denver Employees to celebrate and to be proud of all that we have accomplished here.  We’ve not only made a positive impact on our Customers here at the airport, but out in the Denver Community, as well.

I am very proud of my Team!

I had a blast serving our Customers Rice Krispy treats. They were all so nice and their eyes just lit up when they saw the treats. Very cool city and such a beautiful airport! I especially enjoyed taking some treats to the gals across the way at Delta. 🙂

I was very leering about flying Southwest, but once Ireached Denver airport the service from Southwest was the best I have everhad. I had to have a wheelchair and your service person (Robert Davis) was marvolous. Had to wait a while at my gate and I had 3 of your service people come up to me to see if I need anything. Also the stewress were very nice. Now that was Denver, Phoneix was a different story very rude left me sitting on the concourse for a5 minutes so I tried wheeling my self finally a ticket agent came to give me help. but Southwest will be the airliones I fly from now on. GOOD JOB GUYS!!!!!!

Hi Merle, Sorry you didn't have the experience we would have liked for you to have in Phoenix, but glad our Employee in Denver provided you with such great service. Thank you for flying SWA!

Hands down you have the best airline in the world...yes, the world! My flights on your airline have always been the best for the least cost except for one problem. We live in Colorado Springs and have to make that drive to Denver to use your great airline. Is there any possible way you could make one or two flights a day to Colorado Springs to connect to Las Vegas. Once there we could go practically anywhere in the country on your airline and I guarantee you that a lot of people will use you instead of the airlines already here. Of course it would be great if you could take us to Love Field at Dallas too but that may be asking too much. Please consider this and until you do we'll just have to make that drive...Thanks!

My wife and I have always enjoyed flying with Southwest. You are always on time, your attendants are always cheerful and courteous, your fares are always one of the lowest and always competitive and you can't ask for more than that. Thank You Southwest for being there. I think a organization gets this good because of it's leadership and that translates to the employees, and then the customers, and we say Thank You Southwest.

I have a habit of asking waiters and waitresses, flight attendants, etcetera, their names, so I can address them with respect. I believe it is a courtesy to acknowledge the people who serve me personally. When I asked an attendant on another airline what her name was, I was immediately confronted by the head flight attendant, was asked if I "had a problem," because she could fix my problem by escorting me off of the plane. Though I explained that there was a misunderstanding, and what my intentions were, and though I was "allowed" to remain on the plane, the attendants were rude and discourteous to me the entire flight. I will never fly FR_ _ _ _ _ _ r again. In contrast, I feel welcomed by the Southwest Airline's staff. I enjoy the flight crew and the attendants - their attutiude, dress, jocularity, and friendliness that make my trips relaxing and something to look forward to. I believe you all genuinely enjoy your jobs. Keep up the good work!

We immediately booked a flight to Baltimore, when Southwest came to Denver...took my Dad to see his Brother...ate crab, looked at old photos, and listened to two brothers share memories of a lifetime! So grateful for the many trips Southwest has made possible and that includes incoming visitors here to Dad ( and us~). Congrats! on 5 years and fair skies ahead!

Thank you Southwest for not charging for checked luggage and keeping your fees low! It is so easy to book and cancel or re-schedule flights online and on the phone with you. I wish everything was this easy! Keep up the great job in 2011................We only fly Southwest..........It's the BEST AIRLINE EVER!!!

I love Southwest Airlines so much that I tell my family and friends: "if Southwest doesn't fly there, I probably don't need to go there...it's that simple!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For making flying a good experience again. I don't feel like one in a herd of cattle just being shuffled around from terminal to terminal. The staff in the airports and on the planes are smiling and so helpful. It means so much just to have people who are friendly and helpful. That is huge! Because of the friendliness and helpful attitudes, Southwest is without a doubt my favorite airline and my #1 choice and "go to" airline.
