Sunny Stone recently did a post about a photo session with our Original Employees, and many of you may be interested in this recent article from The New York Times about this wonderful group of people.  All of us at SWA owe so much to those who helped define who we are as a Company and helped establish our Culture.

I LUV our original employees, as a MCO flight attendant I get goosebumps evertime I encounter our senior gals and LUV to here ther stories. I treasure my photo of myself giving the gorgeous SANDRA FORCE a kiss (she actually developed it and sent it to me) while deadheading her to St. Louis after an unscheduled overnight in HOU. She said jokingly that the overnight in HOU was 18 years ago..... SET LOVE FREE... MCO Flight Attendant, Craig Pentifallo

I was lucky, I joined the family in 1982. I got to meet all the characters and legends. Pinka, Sandra, Father Bob, Deborah and Disco Bob and others. It hurts to see them leave, they should all write a book. Each could tell a thousand stories!

How many of these originals were part of the Management-In-Training program that you implemented a few years ago? It seems the concept of your corporate leadership is wholly organic. Obviously, these people have led the company in their own ways. Would love to know more about it.
