You work with someone in the next office for six years, and you think you know them.  Then you see them featured on the front page of Sunday's The New York Times.  One of our bloggers, Fred Taylor, is that guy, and this article ran on the front page yesterday.  Way to go Fred!

Jeramy, Do tell? I didn't realize that the University of Soggy Cincinnati even HAD a football team. I've checked for their website, but they must be maintaining a low profile. No need to apologize for the lions Brian, the wolverines are another story. Though if you look at last year the wings, pistons, tigers and wolverines all made it to the playoffs/world series/whatever and no one won. Hmm. I think we all need some candy corn. Dear Blog Boy, Ya know, bud, it isn't that I doubt what you've said or posted, but.... This post went up almost two weeks ago, and as of today, I have yet to see any reply from someone named Fred Taylor. Are you sure you didn't make him up, or that you created a pseudonym for yourself to use when interviewed by the NYTimes? This seems like the old Clark Kent/Superman problem. Even though Lois and Jimmy's bulbs were too low-wattage to figure it out, I've noticed that YOU are all over this blog, but no Fred Taylor. Southwest has a great potential market in Pensacola. I really hope they begin service to Pensacola sooner rather than later...when I want to fly Southwest, I have to drive all the way to New Orleans! Please bring service to Pensacola!

I'm going to add my name to the list of people hoping to see air service out of Pensacola (especially since some of my upcoming work may have me going to Eglin for a large part of the year). Considering the large number of people who live in the area (I've heard 2 million within , and the options for quite a few nonstop flights (HOU, BNA, BWI, and PHL) that have little or no nonstop service to the airport.
