Boarding with toddler

This is my first time boarding with my 3 year old son who will be staying in his own seat. Just wanted to know if I need to take a birth certificate or anything for identification for him?

No ID is required for a child under age 18 unless they are under 2 and flying as a lap child. Since your child has their own ticket nothing is required. FYI, you can utilize family boarding between the A and B groups if you don't have A boarding passes.
