pre-board companion need to be on same reservation?

Hi all!

My 11 yr old daughter and I are traveling soon with our companions. I am physically disabled as well as autistic, she is autistic. She is my companion for "companion pass" purposes, but I have a friend that I travel with that can assist me with my other needs. My question is this: I am using points and CP to book my and my daughter's reservation, but my travel companion and my daughter's travel companion have to be on a different reservation (they haven't yet published the "points plus cash" feature for me to book us all together). In order to pre-board with our travel companions, do they have to be on the same reservation? Or do I just have to tell them who my and her pre-board companion is? If they DO have to be on the same reservation, does anyone have any solutions to this? Thanks, in advance, for your help with this!

They do not need to be on the same reservation.
