Checking a Firearm

Traveling with your firearm is permitted provided certain requirements are met. Each Customer may check a firearm in place of one of the two free pieces of luggage at no charge, and the Customer must declare the firearm.

Firearms need to be in a hard-sided, locked container that is of sufficient strength for normal handling. The container must completely secure the firearm from access, and if the case can be pulled open with minimal effort, it will not be accepted.

Upon your arrival to the airport, be sure to visit the full-service ticket counter. Customer Service Agents can accept and check firearms and complete a firearms inspection tag.  Please visit our website before traveling to familiarize yourself with all requirements associated with transporting firearms.
