Points toward this year or next? Statement closing Date 12/2-1/01

So, my statement closing dates have always been the second to the 1st of next month. Am I right in ASSuming that on my next statement date that closes on 1/1/2024 those point will go toward the 2024 calendar year?

Were you planning to get these from the credit card? These they actually don't promise to hit immediately on the closing date either.

At least you can get the points from flights pretty easy, hopefully you can find something for about a $190 round trip WGA and just get it crossed off.
