Adding Passenger to Existing Confirmation Number

If I have already purchased a flight for myself, can I add a fellow traveler (NOT a companion pass member) under my existing Confirmation Number? 

I know I can purchase a separate ticket for them and hope that we can sit together, but curious to know if it is possible to add them—at a later date—under my same Confirmation Number?

Sorry, but there is no way to do that.

Thanks. That would be a nice feature to add in the future. Being able to combine travelers within the same group under one Confirmation Number would help manage travel and would help travelers check-in and sit together more easily.
