I have been receiving the following error on the Southwest app today.

Your request could not be completed at this time.  Try again later.

Error Code 429999999

Does anyone know how to resolve? 

I did just get an Android update recently.

At what point are you getting this error on the app? (Booking a flight, changing a flight, checking in)

I have used the app several times today on android without issue

Did you try deleting and reinstalling the app or a restart of your phone?

So, it started when I tried to book a flight.  Eventually, I logged out and tried to get back in and I got the same error.  I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app several times and now it's telling me I've made too many attempts to log in.  

Any other thoughts?

I’m guessing this is a problem with your account. I say that as I recently changed my own reservation using the app and had no problems. I would contact Southwest and get some technical assistance.
