Punta Cana flights being limited for summer/fall 2023

I have noticed Southwest is discontinuing the availability of flights to Punta Cana in the upcoming months. I have checked from PHL, BWI and Miami. Any insight?

I found flights to BWI

and Ft Lauderdale and Chicago Midway

It looks like Ft Lauderdale is the primary gateway for non stop flights with a limited number to the other two cities I mentioned.
