Guidance on hearing back from Southwest

I've applied for a position that I'm really excited about and received this notification: "We know this position is important to you, so we wanted to provide an update as soon as possible: now that the posting has closed, we are beginning to review applications and are planning to provide a further update to you by Thursday 10/19/23." 

I haven't heard anything back, but in my profile, it still says "In Process." Has anyone else experienced this as well?

yes! the email said I Will hear from them on November 3rd, but I have seen a lot of posts hear saying they don't reach on the date they provided
