Starting the hiring process

Hello! I was a flight attendant for American Airlines before children. I really miss being a flight attendant and as a customer who always loves flying Southwest, today I signed up with the Southwest Talent Pool and submitted my resume and basic information. I do not want to miss any opportunity or steps, so can I just confirm that I cannot actually apply for the flight attendant position  until there are openings? Can I be sure to be alerted when there are openings?

@Krista_Salvati yes, you are correct. There are certain times SW posts for FA. I believe AA, and most major carriers follow this hiring process. When the positions are available, the posting goes up. 

No need to be alerted when the job posts. I’m sure as an eager FA applicant, you will be checking the career site on a regular basis.
