Hello. So I have 2 well traveled boys. My question is can the 11 year old travel with the 12 year old by themselves without a fee? Or do I have to pay the $50 for the 11 year old but not the 12 year old? It is not clear on the southwest.com website. Thanks for an input.

Hello,
It looks to me as though the 11 year old CAN travel with the 12 year old, with no added fee.
"Children ages five through 11 traveling without an accompanying Passenger age 12 or older must travel as an Unaccompanied Minor (UM) on Southwest Airlines."
I'd suggest still trying to book them on a nonstop, or at least a direct flight. And send them with snacks. 🙂
Good luck!
