Hi, my boyfriend flew with Southwest during the last Companion Pass promotion. We booked a trip to Hawaii to take advantage of the deal, I am his companion.
He is thinking about cancelling our current Maui - Oahu flight and simply re-booking it because they are running a new Companion Pass deal. He is booking his round-trip flight AND my $11 companion ticket. Will his round-trip ticket be eligible for the Companion Pass, or is it somehow disqualified from the deal because the ticket is already attached to a companion ticket?
I read the terms and conditions and my interpretation is that we should qualify -- it would be a different story if the companion was trying to claim eligibility for the promotion with their "free" ticket. Just wanted to make sure I am not missing anything here.

If he is going to cancel his existing flight, he will first need to cancel the companion ticket ited to it.
Then he should cancel his flight,
Then he should register for the new CP promotion.
Then he should buy a new ticket.
Then he should add a companion to that ticket.
and all will be good
